1. You know what? I'm not sick of being single, I'm just sick of thinking about being single. Some days I just want to get on with my life.

2. Just arrived back from Athens where we ran a conference.  It was a nightmare.  I am suffering quite severe sleep deprivation and basically feel desperately alone and unhappy.  If ever I needed an ego boost it's now.  If you have time/inclination.

Something will turn up when you least expect it. Just try not to end up with anything on/off and complicated.

Running a conference sounds like it would be a bit of a challenge. I take it despite its nightmarish qualities it went well and later ones can only get easier with experience :-)

If I was near I'd get you a drink. I don't think I can send Vodka and coke down the interwebs.

I wasn't even running it, I was just there as medical writer, taking notes and writing the overnight newsletters. The admin girl fucked up big style, and left loads of stuff that should have been done before we left to the day before (stuff like printing name badges and welcome letters). So we all rallied around to help her out, except she was still behaving like an arrogant bitch and having temper tantrums. Loads of other little things went wrong as well (again, not my responsibility). We got 97% good feedback from the delegates and the client was happy...so despite the fuck ups it turned out OK. But we had a debrief over lunch today and Cara (the director) was NOT happy. I got good feedback for my role.
